Returning to Jamaica after studying abroad is something that happens on occasion. Typically, opportunities in other countries are more attractive than those on the island. As a result, there are fewer skilled and qualified people available to assist in building the nation. In this episode, I'm joined by Matthew Wallace, a young entrepreneur, hotelier, and restauranteur who is also a good friend of mine. He chose to return to Jamaica over staying in America to continue a promising career in hospitality. Our discussion includes why he returned to Jamaica after graduating from FIU, what is clearly needed in Negril, and what types of businesses he believes would thrive here. We also spoke about the origins of Scotch Boyz and Matthew's Sushi Bar and Restaurant.
